I've had a few people ask to see this bad boy in action. Here is a video showing the mill in action from the manufacture.

With the excitement of getting out my last post, I forgot to include some photos of the new mill.
Its a Woodland Mills bandsaw sawmill, featuring a 14hp Kohler engine, 22" of board width and allows for a 10' board to be cut.
Enjoy the pictures and let me know if you have any questions, or have a wood slab species your interested in.
Thanks
Tim

New sawmill/live edge boards on the way!

Well its that time of year again. The calls are coming in and appointments are getting booked for tree removal quotes and jobs. Call, email or text to set up a free quote.
Also with the warmer weather comes new live edge slabs and boards.
We are in the process of purchasing a new sawmill that will allow for the custom cutting of live edge boards, and the production of lumber. This mill can produce 10' long boards at a maximum width of 22". The advantage of this new mill will be smoother slabs and boards requiring much less effort in the process of smoothing the surface of the wood for finishing. Where the chainsaw mill would leave a chatter on the board, requiring additional sanding and planing, this bandsaw mill will produce an smooth, consistent surface.
We will be up and going with the mill in the coming weeks, and will have undried boards available within the month. Dry boards will take a bit longer as they will be sent to the kiln.
If there is a certain species of wood your looking for to complete your DIY project, let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate. Also if you would like your name added to our mailing list for future releases of live edge wood, please let me know.
Thanks and in the words of football genius Ed Woodward, "watch this space".

Front yard Birch tree with a fair bit of branch death, and rot. Branches over the house, so our bucket truck was used.
Night and day difference to the front of this house.

A customer purchased some of our sunburst locust wood this past summer. His goal was to finish the wood piece, and inlay it into a concrete table.
I've received pictures of the finished work, and its amazing. Have a look at some of the pictures of his creation.
Every season we have a new live edge wood. Check back for whats new in stock.

Rotten leaning Catapule tree

Good evening
This morning we took down a rotten catapule tree. This tree had a heavy lean towards the customer's house, and a large rotten hole at the base that resulted in this 3' across tree only having 3-4" of actual wood holding it up.
The tree was surrounded on all sides with hydro, phone, rogers and fiber optic lines which made the removal difficult. Our bucket truck was used and we pieced it down safely.
